Forest green shutters.

Late night watching Hello Dolly, one of my movies. I felt inspired to take some photos last night, which I haven't done in a long time. Nor have I taken any photos in my new apartment! Now I really didn't have an outfit that was straight out of Hello Dolly, but I've had the really pretty green dress for some time now I bought and just haven't worn yet. There's a line in the movie, saying that if Horace Vandergelder had any sense, he'd repaint the shutters forest green. Its a key point in the movie, that they reference at the end. So pulling my inspiration from that, I threw on my favorite "lady" shoes and gloves.

Before I settled with lighting and everything, I took a few test shots, this one actually came out nice. The lighting in my room is really nice, I didn't have to use the big over head light.

The metal purse in this photo belonged to my great grandmother from my dad's side. Its from the 20's and so pretty, I have 2 of them.

I never think to take photos of the accessories or anything like that when I do outfit photos, but I didn't forget this time! Also, the gold necklace, was my great grandmothers on my moms side. I love incorperating these special pieces into my outfits.

Glad to have a post from you! You've been missed.
You look lovely, per usual and I love that your vintage pieces have some family history to them. I wish I had stuff from my grandma's old collection.

Have a fun time with your friend!
