The perfect floral romper.

I finally found the perfect floral romper, and it belonged to my best friend Chelsea which I didn't know when I tried it on. I have been looking for one for sometime now and this one even has pockets! I have worn it a few times now. One of the vintage hats I bought at Brimfield goes so perfectly with it. For work, we had to come in and wear our favorite summer trendy outfit and I of course wore the romper. I photographed all the girls in 30 minutes! I even got a few of myself, because I haven't had a chance to take any photos for this lovely blog.

The only thing I forgot to do, was change my shoes! So I'm wearing my crappy (but awesome) keds and I was totally going to wear my new Sam Edelman flats. I took some photos with other people! I got Fatima and Rachel in this one.

Then Jon and I got one together, he is so rad. He is also wearing an amazing Burberry shirt and Burberry jeans. He is truly a savvy shopper.

In the world of Lovely, I am creeping up on my 6 month review and I've just been preparing for that and hanging out. I have to say, the last two Sunday/Monday's have really been the best. Ive got to hang out with my best friend and drink with my BadVille friends. Hopefully I'll be going back to Brimfield in July and I'll be moving back to Jamaica Plain in the coming days. All in all things have been good, but super busy! Always on the move. Bring it on summer.

Xoxo.

More than 4 sentences.

99% of the time I never know what to write about on my blog. I am more of a visual person, even when I check out other people's blogs... I kind of just skim over everything and look at all the pictures. I had the sudden urge to write a little bit and what better way to stop complaining and just blog. Ive got my "space jams" playing in the background and a mind full of things to share.

For a long time now I have always said I am adjusting to something new that's going on in my life. Weather it was a new apartment, or say a new job, I feel like I've used it as an excuse for just not blogging on a more regular basis. I have to say I'm pretty adjusted to how things are at the moment. My job is fantastic. I haven't worked somewhere in a long time where I really wanted to dive in and have it be all consuming, but I feel that way about working at Buffalo Exchange and I want to continue down the rabbit hole. I got to do this awesome vintage blog post for The Buffalo Exchange blog (<---click there) as I had mentioned in my previous post. Chelsea was great, my boss Lisa was very proud of us and let us do that during our shift. I got to do this (blogging) at work, for work. My life has just taken off in this great new direction of fashion, style and inspiring people. I have always posted randomly, and I always make myself feel bad for not blogging more, when there are tons of other bloggers like myself who post when they can. I really do feel like its a "Quality over Quantity" thing. Id rather post a few really great blog posts then rush a ton of them and it just look like I put no effort into it. Now I feel like I'll be blogging full time on top of working full time, but doing both together. There are so many great opportunities to do a style report and blog post for the store and I have so many great ideas, only good things will come of this. I am beyond excited. Tonight I went out with some co-workers of mine and had such a lovely time. When I was sitting there I realized this is what I need to be doing and it felt great. I basically want to consume myself with what I am doing. Even now, it's 1:15 in the morning and I'm up catching up on blogs and street fashion photos and blogging. I totally am clocking in at work at 9:30 this morning; I'm going in early to tag a ton of merchandise and put it out on the floor. It's so worth it thought, because we'll get so much done and ready for the weekend, I wont be stressed about it so much. I work all weekend and I am so ready for whatever happens.

Life lately

Today's post is a little bit of this, and a little bit of that. Some really awesome things have been happening lately and they are defiantly worth sharing. First, may I just say, having cats around again is soooooooo awesome! Little Bonnie is literally sitting in my lap right now and its the cutest thing ever. Cat blogging! I know Julie of Orchid Grey would appreciate this haha. So the first cool thing, I got to meet another blogger friend of mine. Roni of Roni feels nostalgic. She was such a sweet heart! I felt bad though because I didn't really have time to chat the store was soooo busy that day! I had just enough time to have a photo snapped before I had to ring up a line of customers.

Next, I finally made it on the Buffalo Exchange tumblr! For the last 2 weeks I have been working on doing more blog stuff for the store and it's finally paid off and what a wonder feeling it is. When I saw the photo posted last night I about had a mini freak out. I couldn't stop laughing.

*Photo was taken by Chelsea for the store outside in Davis Square. It was to show off the amazing leather hat.

So with working on the blog for work Chelsea and I did the amazing vintage photo shoot together for the store. This lady came in last week and sold us soooo many amazing vintage dresses! It was all together an $1800 buy. So for the store I decided to showcase them. We are still in the process of putting that post together, but here is a sneak peek of one of the dresses we modeled.

Buffalo Gals

Since I started working at Buffalo Exchange, I have been dieing to do more blog stuff for their Buffalo Exchange Blog and my girl Chelsea and I decided to go out and photograph some lovely vintage dresses! She was just as excited to do this like I was. We love our job so much and our store and really wanted to showcase more. We finally had a day off together where we could get out and take photos. She came to JP and we took a walk to Franklin park, where I showed her the abandoned zoo. Needless to say, the photos came out awesome!

After having fun at the abandoned zoo, we hiked on over to this fort like structure that was right by the gold course. Took a break there because it was a long walk. We got to talk and tell stories about our crazy friends haha.

Then I set up this shot and wow, these were our favorite photos!

Chelsea has become such a good/close friend of mine Im very happy to be her friend. I really look forward to doing a lot more of photo shoots like this with her. We're both so in love with clothes and vintage.

Jamaica Pond

Monday afternoon, Ms. Jill and I went on a walk around Jamaica Plain pond. It is beautiful and full of history (that I don't know). There are actually 3 of them and I did not know that. We walked around the pond, then walked across the street and there was another one! I have been living in JP for over a year and a half now and never ventured that far. I have plans to go hiking this year and walking around is a good start. I took a ton of photos and Ms. Jill was lovely enough to take some of me! Journey with us through the ponds...

Now my outfit wasn't very "fashion blogger" stylish, but it's defiantly what I felt comfortable in. I love my punx vest, I've had it for years and I can't let go of it just yet.

All in all it was a great day. We made booze drinks to go and brought a little snack. I had spent the earlier afternoon drinking at the Behan and already had a nice buzz going. Later that afternoon, I actually got my hair buzzed lol. I was so tried apparently, I passed out when I got home. Ms. Jill said it was like walking a puppy, completely exhausted after my walk, which was so true. I had a great time, and I feel like if I just keep it up, I'll be hiking by September. Ms. Jill has become such a great friend of mine, I look forward to more walks and adventures with her as the weather is warming up.

Foxy.

Just a quick post for tonight. I didnt even wear this outfit to work the other day, I changed right before I left (I tend to do that a lot) but ever since I bought this amazing fox tail from work (Buffalo Exchange in Davis Square) I cant stop wearing it! Every outfit Ive worn has had to have belt loops so I can wear it. The other night, I was walking in front of some guy friends of mine and they were saying all kinds of things. My butt already draws enough attention, now I'm just adding to it.

Fox tail from Buffalo Exchange in Davis Square. Was priced at $15. (I used my discount)

I wore it again today. I love it! With spring right around the corner, I'm going to have to start thinking of ways I can still wear it with dresses and skirts. At this point, I'm convinced it will go with any and everything. Oh, I went full time at Buffalo Exchange this week officially! Well, I kind of did last week, but this is my real first full well. I LOVE IT! There will always be ups and downs to a place you work at, but I have no complaints. My job is fun, it keeps me out of trouble and I dont spend as much money at The Behan because I get home and Im completely exhausted.

Also, I studded those shorts all on my own. I didnt have anyone help me. Alright! I have a 4:15am wake up call, stay lovely! Xoxo.

Sassafras.

When I first moved to Boston, I wasn't a morning person, because in Florida I was used to staying up all hours of the night. Since then it has totally changed around. I wake up around 8am all the time now and sometimes I'll just lay in bed and watch TV, or sometimes I'll get up and do stuff before I have to go to work. This morning I put on some records and decided to take some outfit photos! I wanted to look really nice for work today. I try to dress better when I'm on the register.
I was actually inspired by Julie of Orchid Grey this morning. I came across a photo I saved from THIS POST (<---- just click) in my inspriation folder and decided to roll with it.

Now she wore a black skirt and maroon tights, I didn't want to copy her completely, that's not what inspriation is about. She inspired me to put an outfit together of things that I had. I typically don't like long sleeves on short sleeved tops. I decided to break out of my comfort zone and wear this awesome silk leopard print top I bought at Community Thrift awhile ago.
Photobucket

The shorts, a personal favorite of mine.
Photobucket

I love being inspired by other bloggers, especially Julie, I have been following her for some time now. Last time I took outfit photos before I went to work, I got toothpaste on my slip right before I left! Lets hope this time that doesn't happen.

Some "glamor" shots, lol.

Xoxo everyone.
